Jean De Nivelle / Tourdion

Jean de Nivelle is a French song full of ribald double-entendre. We follow it with Tourdion, a lively medieval dance tune.

A Scots Rant / Why Grucchen We?

"A Scots Rant" is an English country dance tune from the 17th century. The second melody is an original composition by Eric; the title is from Chaucer's "Knight's Tale," and means "Why do we grumble?"

Mandolinata / (Untitled)

Mandolinata is a nice 19th Century Dutch tune we learned from a recording by Törf. We follow it with an as-yet-untitled composition of Eric's. The bagpipe here is Eric's version of the "Hummelchen," a 17th century continental smallpipe.
